Loos, Carl Edward, 84, of Benwood, W.Va., died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in Peterson Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on August 13, 1929, in Wheeling, W.Va. He was Catholic by faith and was retired from the Blaw-Knox Factory in Wheeling. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Toby and George, and one sister, Helen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carmela Delbert Loos of Benwood; one daughter, Rose Michael Sarcopski of Benwood; one son, Carl E. Loos II, “Chip” Anne Loos of Virginia; one brother, Andrew Loos of Wheeling; three grandsons, John-Carl Sarcopski, Carl E. “Trey” Loos III, and Bryan Edward Loos; and several nieces and nephews.
At Carl’s request, there will be no visitation or services.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. John’s Children’s Home of Wheeling, 141 Key Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 and to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, RD 5 Box 210, 12th Street, Moundsville, WV 26041.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.
