TURNER, Carl D. 81 of Moundsville, WV died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV. He was born March 8, 1931 in Ohio County, W.Va, a son of the late Roy and Mae Patterson Turner. Mr. Turner was a retired employee of John Diekmann Nursery, a Methodist by faith and veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Connie, a brother Gilbert Turner and a son-in-law Bill Kaemmerling. Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca L. Kaemmerling of Moundsville and Jodi R. Jim Franklin of Moundsville, two granddaughters, Becky J. Kaemmerling and Amy J. Kaemmerling both of Moundsville and his two favorite dogs. Troy and Mercedes. Friends received Noon – 3 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville where services will be held 11:00 am Monday, Aug. 6, 2012. Becky, Jodi and family: I was so sorry to hear about your Dad’s passing. Carl truly was a good soul. I’ve so many wonderful memories that include him front and center. Prayers from here that God will give all of you His peace and His comfort at this time of great loss. RIP Carl and God bless you for the kindness and patience you showed me and so many others.

Dearest Jodi and Becky: I am so very sorry for your loss! Carl was a very good man, special in so many ways, even when he was being an ornery fellow! I am so sorry to hear about Carl pasing away. I worked with him for over 15 years at Dieckmann’s and he was a great man and very understanding. The last time I talked to him was at Wintersville Cut and we had a nice chat about the old times at Dieckmann’s. He will be missed by many.

Ken and I wold like to express our condolences to your family. Becky Jo and Jodi, your Mom and Dad were one of our first customers when we opened the studio in 1980.
