OBITUARY NOTICE

Bonnie J. Wilkes
Age 66

Bonnie J. Wilkes 66 of Calcutta, OH died Wednesday morning June 26, 2013 at Calcutta Health Care, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in East Liverpool, OH on February 19, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Wallace Watson and Wynema Larkins Watson. Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. Wilkes retired in 1990 from the former Hills Department Store where was a Front End Supervisor. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965 and was a member of Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was a lamplighter and a past deaconess.

Surviving is her husband, John A. Wilkes whom she married December 12, 1969; a son J. C. Wilkes and his wife Carrie of Lisbon and a daughter, Kim McNicol and her husband, Mike of Newark, OH; two brothers, Chuck Timmons and his wife Debbie of Calcutta and Bill Timmons and his wife Suzanne of Wadsworth, OH; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy McNicol, Tyler McNicol, Alexa Wilkes, Dakota Medley and Joshua Chuck and his wife Kylee; 2 great-children, Cheyenne Chuck and Hailey Chuck.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Watson and Curtis Watson.

Services will he held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Derek Marotta of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM

I am so sorry to hear about Bonnie Jean. She was my neice. Her dad, Wallace Watson, better known as Brownie, was my brother. I always enjoyed visiting with Bonnie, she was such a nice person. You may not remember me but I am the youngest daughter of James and Thelma Watson and Wallace Brownie I remember Daddy calling him, was my half brother.
