Dear Pam and Bill,

I’m very sorry to hear about Bev. An old Wheeling friend forwarded the nice obituary. Pam, I remember talking with you at the 1992 THS reunion and asking about Bev. She was such fun. I understand that Mrs. Hoffer has also passed away recently. Although I didn’t have her as a teacher, I know that she was very much loved and respected by her students.

With sympathy – Chris Hunter Bazzarre

Miss Hoffer was, is and always will be a big part of our lives. Her bright smile was always the highlight of Joey’s day, especially when he was not having a good day. She took interest in Joey’s life and well being, she is the reason he was able to make it through 4th grade. Beverly could always find the best in each child, and nurture it. When hearing of her sickness, we were able to take in 2 of her beloved cats. A part of her will always be with us as we care for her “babies”. Woodsdale Elementary has lost a wonderful teacher, the world has lost a great humanitarian, but Heaven has gained a very special angel.

Love & Prayers,

Dawn’re & Joey Dusci

The Robert Smith family sends their deepest condolences, with the passing of Miss Bev. I think back to the visits from Lois and Bev in my childhood and will always treasure the time they spent with us and their friendship.

I remember one time we were camping out in the hayfield, and unknown to us young campers, Bev and a friend were in the area. Needless to say we were attacked by wild animals, a great laugh was had by all after the scare. That is a memory I will never forget.

In this time of mourning I am reminded of the one who has come to overcome the grave and death. He is the Lord Jesus Christ and in him we have eternal Life. May he draw the Hoffer family close and hold them in this time.

Love, The Smith’s Rob,Beretta,Hank,Jesse and Maggie
