Betty Lou Ference
Age 68

Betty Lou Ference, 68, of Purinton Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Youngston, Ohio following a brief illness.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on January 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Ed and Sarah McLaughlin Heddleston.

Mrs. Ference living her entire life in the area, graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1953. She was a wife, mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, S. Theodore "Ted" Ference, whom she married October 6, 1956.

She is also survived by two sons, Floyd E. Ference and his wife Karen of Follansbee, West Virginia and Richard Ferrence of Manassas, Virginia; a daughter, Joanne Howard and her husband, Doug of Ashtabula, Ohio; a brother, Floyd Heddleston of East Liverpool, Ohio and one granddaughter, Kristine Downard of Ashtabula, Ohio.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Heddleston.

Services will he held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul Sturm of Rainbow Ministries, officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta today, Friday, February 14, 2003 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM
