Betty Martindale Bodenheimer went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ March 13, 2005, at the age of 76. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Daniel Bodenheimer formerly of Virginia Beach and her brother, Johnny Glen Martindale formerly of Greensboro, N.C. Betty is survived by her sisters, Anne Frances Holt of Tampa, Fla., and Sara Lynn Martindale-Raptis of Durham, N.C.; a son, Cornelius L. Yates of Norfolk; a daughter, Frances Y. Stone of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Wave Church, Virginia Beach Christian Life Center, 1000 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454, Saturday at 2 p.m. Because Betty loved children so much, we are requesting in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hampton Roads Community Care, 2697 International Parkway, Suite 101, Parkway Two, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. John 14: Jesus said "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you." Condolences may be shared with the family at altmeyer.com . Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

I never had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Bodenheimer, but knowing her daughter, Francess she had to be a wonderful person. Prayers and Love are with you all.
