Betty Jane Orr, 87, of St.Clairsville, OH, died January 3, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born December 3, 1924, a daughter of the late Harry and Bethel Van Dyne Rinkes.
Betty worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, as a refitter of airplanes for combat in WWII; also, she was a legal secretary for the McKelvey Law Firm and retired as an employee of Grassi’s Restaurant in Barnesville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harvey Orr, and her brother Harry “Dub” Rinkes
Surviving are her children Sandy Orr, and Richard Jo Ann Orr of St.Clairsville, her brother, Wayne Jane Rinkes and sister, Rosalie Don Nicholes of St.Clairsville, her sister-in-law, Frannie Rinkes, her grandchildren; Tara, Troy and Trevor Ballog and her nephews and nieces Kevin, Delbert and John Rinkes and Mark Nicholes, Debra Mannix, Donna Spillman, Robin Fitch and Wendy Griffith.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 204 West Main Street, St.Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held at 11 am Friday with Rev. Bob Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery St.Clairsville.
