Betty J. Watkins, 83, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away January 31, 2015 at the first Community Village in Columbus Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Betty was born in Wheeling WV on August 25, 1931 a daughter of the late C. Everett Rankin and Ethel Coffman Rankin.
Having lived most all her life in the area, Betty graduated from Bellaire High School class of 1949. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Betty is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Brian Watkins and his wife Monica of Hilliard OH and Patrick Andrew Watkins and of Reynoldsburg, OH and three grandchildren: Jared Michael Watkins, Mary-Catherine Watkins and Brian Jeffrey Watkins.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gerald V. Watkins whom she married September 17, 1955; four brothers: Harold, Robert, Herman, and James Rankin, and two sisters: Mary Hall and Dorothy Boston.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home on Thursday February 5, 2015 at 11 AM with Reverend Dr. Stephen Cramer of the church officiating.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.

She was always a sweet and nice person. My dad always told me the good times he had with her. I will miss her so much, but at least she is not suffering now, and I know she always will look over me from heaven. Love you very much, you are the best.
