STACHURA, Betty J. Thomas 81, of National Road, Wheeling, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at her home. Betty was born March 29, 1922 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late James J. and Anna M. Castner Thomas. She was retired from Contractors Supply Co. and was Catholic by Faith. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward J. Stachura in 1999; six brothers, Jack, William, Robert, Joseph, Donald and David Thomas; and a sister, Shirley Toland. Surviving are five children, Edward J. Stachura Jr. and his wife Sheila of San Angelo, TX, Stanley R. Stachura and his wife Janet of Wheeling, William G. Stachura of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia J. Ellis and her husband James of Phoenix and Cindy Watson and her husband Don of Wheeling; a brother, Bernard Thomas of Wheeling; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-8 pm Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 12, 2003, with the Rev. Patrick Condron officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

im so sory to hear of betty’s passing, i recently lost my mother also, i was married to your uncle joe’s son ronnie, brittany is betty’s great neice, ronnie thomas’s daughter. my thoughts and prayers are with you>
