Betty J. Myers, 79 of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Mound View Health Care Center..
She was born June 7, 1935 in Pipe Creek, OH, a daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Stern Gallaher.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Pleasant Grove, OH.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Myers in 2003; two brothers, Tom Gallagher and Charles Daniel Gallaher; and a sister, Bessie McCardle.
Surviving are her children, Charles “Butch” Myers and his wife, Marylou of Moundsville, WV, Shirley Ann McConnell and Ray “Chicken” Hargrove of Moundsville, Donna Emery and David Emery of Moundsville; three brothers, Kenneth “Ike” Gallaher and his wife, Aundy of New Martinsville, WV, Dale Gallaher of Pipe Creek, OH, Harry Gallaher and his wife, Tina of Lisbon; a sister, Sandy Myers of Cadiz, OH; sister-in-law, Patty Gallaher of Moundsville; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV, where services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00pm with Pastor Daniel Nelson officiating.
Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, OH.
