Betty J. Hyde
Age 77

Betty J. Hyde 77, of Annesley Road, East Liverpool, OH, died, Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on October 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry and Genevrie Dailey Howell.

Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. Hyde was a Wife, Mother and a Homemaker. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxillary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary.

Her first husband, James Oscar Lyle, whom she married in 1947, died in 1956 and her second husband, Arch Daniel Hyde, whom she married in 1957, died in 1968.

She is survived by 6 sons, Ross W. Lyle of East Liverpool, OH, John R. Lyle of East Liverpool, OH, Jay O. Lyle of East Liverpool, Jerry H. Lyle of East Liverpool, OH, Archie C. Hyde of East Liverpool, OH and Charles D. Hyde of Myrtle Beach, SC; 3 daughters, Sally Lyle Cathell Paugh of Wellsville, Jane A. Hyde Cunningham Noble of Geneva, OH and Sandy Hyde Barborak of East Liverpool, OH; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren , 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fritz Howell and Charles Howell.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Robert Hull of the House of Prayer in Calcutta, officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends, at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, June 21, 2002 from 2-4 and 7 – 9 PM
