Betty B. Russell
Age 78

Betty B. Russell, 78, of Warren Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004 at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born in Plant City, Florida on June 26, 1925 a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Desta Linda English Overman. Living most of her life in the area, Mrs. Russell worked as a cook in the East Liverpool School System. She and her husband, Wendell, served as Foster Parents for many children. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband, Wendell C. Russell, whom she married
January 18, 1946; one son, Donald E. Russell and his wife Debbie of Columbus, Ohio two brothers, Lawrence Overman and his wife, Kathy of Tampa, Florida and Elbert Overman and his wife Virginia of Sanford, Florida; three sisters, Martha Bartol of Manville, N. J., Osie Bailey of Pinellas Park, FL and Jeanne Butler of Pinellas Park, FL; four grandchildren, Rick Hipsley, Nicole Turturice and her husband, Jarod, and Aaron Russell all of Columbus, Ohio and Jordan Russell of West Point, Ohio. Two Great grandchildren, Joey Turturice and Jeorgia Turturice, both of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Russell; four brothers, Walter Overman, John Overman, Thomas Overman and Robert Overman and a sister, Edith Miley.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Read, former pastor of the church, officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
