Betsy was a kind, wonderful person. I worked with her through the PTA at Bayside Elementary School. She was most supportive and helpful during the years when we were collecting and writing the history of the school. She was such a dear friend and will be truly missed. My heart goes out to you.
Betsy was one of the kindest, most thoughtful and truly caring people that I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She and Billy will always be loved for their long friendship with our family – through both good times and bad. May God bless the Thigpen family and comfort them at this time. Sincerely, Hugh Brenaman Brydges

Maggs let me know about Betsy. So sorry that you had to lose her so soon. And to the ravages of Alzheimer’s; always harder on the family than the victim. “The Long Goodbye” is a description we use frequently to describe the painful process for the family.
