HALLORAN, Bethella Jean, 70, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, after a courageous six year battle with cancer.
Born Sept. 13, 1932 in Maynard, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Willella Henderson.
Preceded in death by her sister, Kathyrn Williams, and her brother, Roland Henderson.
Surviving are her ever-loving husband, Jack; three sons, Jackie of Estero, Fla., Patrick of St. Clairsville and Brad of Parker, Colo.; three brothers, Merle and Ralph Henderson of St. Clairsville and Don Henderson of Colerain, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Mitch Halloran, who loved their "Mema" so very much.
Mom and Dad started their journey after they met at Waynesburg College. Throughout their marriage they worked very hard and became involved in the local business community. Beth’s earlier years were spent sewing for their drapery and upholstery business while managing the bookstore for the local university students. Throughout the years they built many of their homes while acquiring investment real estate and successfully managing their rental properties.
Beth was a retired icon of Halloran’s Home Pizza, which she started with Dad in 1968. Many local youths and adults alike grew up eating her pizza. After 30 years of making pizza, she retired in 1997 to travel the world with Dad. During her retirement, Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in style by renewing their vows in front of many friends and family. In four words, "They did it right!"
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM, friday at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 204 west Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Wake services will be held Saturday from 9-10:30 AM with Mass following at 10:30 AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Colerain, Ohio.
Following the burial there will be a luncheon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Vigil services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
The Halloran Park on the west side of town will be donated to the town in the name of Beth Halloran.
Anyone who has loved their wife, mom, sister and "Mema" can understand our great loss. We have learned many valuable life-lessons from Mom and she was always our role model. We will always love her and she will live in our hearts forever.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 212 West Main street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.

Pat & Family

I was so sorry to read about your Mom. My best friend rents from your Dad and she has kept me up to date on how she was doing. I know I learned alot of business sense from talking to her that I used over the years. She was a great business woman. I know this is a big loss for your family.

You and your family will be in my prayers.

Take care,
