Bertha M. Thornton

Thornton, Bertha M., 97, of McMechen, WV, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
She was born March 14, 1911 in Woodruff, WV, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Myers Millhouse.
Mrs. Thornton was a retired employee of Bobbie Brooks and a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Weekly; a daughter, Maryetta Shepard of Moundsville; eight brothers, Louis, Curtis, Vincent, Nile, Harold, Earl, Irvin and Cecil Millhouse; two sisters, Ruth McCroskey and Betty Jane Wade.
Surviving are two sons, James M. Joan Weekly of Moundsville and Raymond Thornton of McMechen.
There will be no visitation.
Services and interment are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
