Age 92

Bernice K. Chetock, age 92, of County Highway # 50, Irondale, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Stone Pear Pavillion at the Orchard’s at Foxcrest in Chester, W.Va. after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Olesky, Mrs. Chetock was born in New Cumberland, W.Va. on December 26, 1915, and had lived most of her life in the area. She was a graduate of the Irondale High School, retired from the former Sterling China Co. after 28 years and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

She was preceded in death on March 3, 1994 by her husband, Steve J. Chetock, who she married on September 30, 1935.

Survivors include three sons, Julius J. Chetock of Toronto, OH., Ben R. Chetock and his wife, Beth, of Hanoverton, OH. and William R. Chetock of Irondale. One sister, Rose M. Green of East Liverpool, 8 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Chetock was preceeded in death by four brothers, Joseph Olesky, John Olesky, Pete Olesky, and Frank Olesky. Two sisters, Sophia Fistel and Mary Krafft and a daughter in law, Donna Olesky.

Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2008, at 10 A.M at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with Rev. Fr. Bernard Gaeta as Celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville.

Friends may call at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Sunday, March 16, 2008, from 4 to 8 P.M.
