As I mentioned in my earlier entry, Barb was so proud of her family. However, I forgot to mention grandkids Holly and Cody who I know will miss her very much.

From the first time I met Mrs. Croy, she was always gracious to me and always concerned about me and my family. I pray that her family finds peace as I’m sure she has that she is resting in the arms of our God.

My sister was truly unique, independent and fearless. She, while her husband was in the Navy and times were tough, moved several times, raised three great kids, and helped raise her grandchildren. I always thought she was a good mom. She was so proud of Pam, Michael, Jeffery, Brandon, Kelly Jo, Travis and of course, little Makayla. And because she was a good daughter, she called her mother once a week to check on her well being and catch up on family news. And being married for 52 years, through good times and bad, really says something about her character and Merle’s too! I enjoyed going to her house during the summer months when I was a kid because she took us to her sons’ ball games, fed us fried chicken, and taught us how to play penny poker. Riding in the car with her was always a special treat! On one of her visits to my house, she took my little boy under her wing, told him about the time she met Elvis, and then jitterbugged through my dining room to oldies music. From then on, Aunt Barb was truly special to him. I know she is now with our mother and my sister, Sharon, in heaven and there will be no more suffering. For this I am grateful. I’m going to miss her.
