Barbara Virginia Berletic Sitar 91 of Bellaire, Ohio died Tuesday September 9, 2008 at the Belmont Manor in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born September 25, 1916 in the Harmony Hill area of Benwood, WV a daughter of the late Michael and Emma Krizmanic Berletic.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family and a caring and generous friend to all who knew her. She was a devoted Catholic and a loyal member of St. Michael and St. John churches in Bellaire. She, along with her husband, Joe founded the Rechrome Service Corporation in Bellaire.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Sitar on December 16, 1997 and five brothers, Matt, George, Michael and Patrick Berletic and Max Lucas.
Surviving are three sons, Ron Georgia Sitar and Lanny Deborah Sitar both of Bellaire, Ohio and Kerry Sitar of Warren, Michigan, a sister, Ann Hoskins of Panama Beach, FL and a brother, Rudy Lucas of Hot Springs, CA. Also seven grandchildren, Kerry Janet Sitar, Jr., Shawn Sitar and Marc Maggie Sitar all of Michigan, Renee Garloch, Brian Sitar and Alex Sitar all of Bellaire, Ohio and Laura Sitar of PA, four great grandchildren, Josh and Ryan Garloch both of Bellaire and Evan and Erik Sitar of MI and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 am at the St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire with Msgr. Gene W. Mullett, the Celebrant. Interment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.

Sorry, we were unable to attend the visitation or mass this am…Barbara was a very nice neighbor and we will miss her in our neigborhood. It was wonderful what great health she actually had until very recently. We will be making a contribution in her name as requested in the obituary….
