As a child I can remember when Barbie and Toni would come to visit my parents Anna and Bill Junak. She was always the life of the party and we will always remember and miss her laugh. She is in heaven being reunited with her family that has past.

It is 11:20 on Tuesday evening and I am just reading the newspaper discovering that Barbara had passed on Sunday. I just want you to know how much she meant to my parents -Nola Jane and Joe Figaretti- as they were former next door neighbors. When Daddy was still living, he so enjoyed Barbara.s cooking for him, always making him “special dishes.” I never had to worry about Mother’s living alone as Barbara and Charlie and Toni always kept an good eye on her. They were the best neighbors anyone could ask for. My prayers are with you and always with Barbar. God Bless You…Jill Figaretti Allen

The Usmiani family was very saddened to hear about Kuma Barbara’s death. We were family friends for 55 years. My grandmother, Josephine Usmiani who is very sad was Barbara and Charlie’s Maid of Honor at their wedding and my grandfather, Andrew J. Usmiani now deceased was the Best Man. Since we moved to NJ and after Toni’s and Charlie’s death we were unable to contact her no forwarding phone number. My mother, Maria Usmiani, Neva Usmiani Kanaby my aunt, John Usmiani my uncle & the rest of our family will always remember the special picnics at the Croatian Center, Kennywood Park, the “sleep-overs”, eating roasted lamb at their “home picnics in Elm Grove”, and seeing each other on week-ends and holidays! Kuma Barbara will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories of her and Kum Charlie will always be very “dear” to me….
