Barbara Ann FERKOL

Ferkol, Barbara Ann, of Wheeling, WV, died Jan. 6, 2002, in Wheeling Hospital. During World War II, she was employed by Wheeling Corrugating; a food server for Figaretti Restaurant for 33 years, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. Ferkol in 1977; her parents, Joseph and Anna Sekora Kanopsic; numerous brother and sisters. Surviving are two sons, L. Glenn Ferkol and his wife, Wilma, of Sinsbury, Conn., and Bruce A. Ferkol and his wife, Mary Jane, of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Catherine Schnegg and her husband, Paul, of St. Clairsville; and sister-in-law, Madeline Ballogg of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, with vigil services at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove, Wheeling, with the Rev. James LaCrosse, S.M. as celebrant. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, WV.
