Austin Heath Chase

Austin Heath Chase, of Pittsburgh, died Saturday from an allergic reaction to a bee sting. He was 31.
He is survived by a wife, Amanda Hilliard Chase, and three beautiful daughters, Alexis Hadley, Noelle Claudia, and Livia Abigail, his parents, Sallie and Lee Hill and Richard L. Chase, two brothers, Chris and Josh, grandfathers, William C. Whitby and Bertram P. Chase Jr. and many other family and friends.
Austin was a soldier in the Army who went on to become a systems engineer for Stargate Inc. and a programmer for Gateway Health Plan of Pittsburgh. He had a passion for hockey, books, and his family and friends.
The memorial service will be held at Haygood United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach on Thursday at 4 p.m.
The memorial service in Pittsburgh will be held at Bellevue Central United Methodist Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Austin Heath Chase Childrens’ Fund through Bank of America or online at www.bankofamerica.com.
