Dear Stump Family,

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Aubrey was a wonderful man, whom we got to know in the halls of VBUMC. He reminded me of the character Eeyore — gruff and grumbly on the outside — but filled with a warm spirit on the inside. He would grumble at first and then help me out willingly with a smile at the end. We hope you have many memories to cherish and honor him with. He will be missed at VBUMC.

We send our sympathy and love to all of you.

In Christ,

Lynne and Andy Hendrick

I will always remember Aubrey for his quick smile, his quarkie humor he loved to tease Martha, and his kindness. He won’t have to ask me about vacation days anymore – he has taken the greatest vacation of all – one in which we will all join him some day. Aubrey was a sweet man and will be missed.

Two memories in particular come to mind…I remember Aubrey messing up the punch line of the Stevie Wonder joke Debbie corrected him…and it was funnier than if he’d gotten it right to start with; the other is when he put his arm on my shoulder and said, “you’ll always be a part of the family red head…”

Aubrey has the greatest smile…remember that smile. God bless you Aubrey.

With love, and deepest condolences to you all,

Russ Webster, and the Webster Family
