Arthur E. Palmer
Age: 82
Arthur E. Palmer, 82 of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, died on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Calcutta Health Care following an extended illness. He was born December 8, 1929 in Toronto, OH and was a son of the late Crawford and Ora Wiley Palmer.
Living his entire life in this area, Mr. Palmer worked as a laborer at the former Crucible Steel Mill and served in the US Army during Korean Conflict. He was as former School Bus Driver for Beaver Local Schools.
His wife: Lucille M. Householder Palmer survives him. They were married on November 23, 1958.
Also surviving him are two sons: Jeff Palmer and his wife Toni of Chester, WV and Mark Palmer of Calcutta; three daughters: Linda Davidson and her husband George of Calcutta, Barb Barnes of Loveland, CO and Kathy Coil and her husband Robert of Lisbon; two brothers: Alvin Palmer of East Liverpool and Arlie Palmer of Grafton, PA; one sister: Audrey West of Vermillion, OH; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, two brothers: Alfred and Archie Palmer and one sister: Alice Brown preceded him in death.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2012 with Rev. Paul Sturm officiating. The Tri State Burial Group will accord Military Honors.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
