Arthur A. Liyanage

Liyanage, Arthur A, formerly of Main St., Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday,
August 25, 2004 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
He was born in Sri Lanka, a son of the late Abraham and Ann Ranasinghe
Liyanage.
Arthur was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, Wheeling, a
retired special class postmaster and telegraphist in Sri Lanka and a former
employee of Boury Inc., Wheeling.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys
Desilva Liyanage.
Surviving is a son, Ananda Liyanage and his wife Nelly of London England; a
daughter, Salomi Jayasekera and her husband Ashley of Wheeling; two
grandsons; many nieces and nephews throughout the world; special friends,
Martina and Gerald Saverimuttu, Girija and Punnima Bajpayee, Jack and
Rosemarie Winiesdorffer all of Wheeling; Don and Donna Buchanan of Glen
Dale, WV, and many friends throughout the local area.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial funeral liturgy and mass at 9:00
a.m. Monday, August 30, 2004 at the St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church,
Wheeling, with the Rev Larry Dorsch as celebrant.
Funeral arrangements entrusted with the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff
Street, Wheeling.
