Aretta B. Beatty, 90, Bellaire died January 4, 2012 at her home.

Aretta was born July 10, 1921 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late John Basil and Annie Parker Campbell.

She was a member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband Charles E. Beatty Sr, six brothers, Henry, Carl, Lawrence, Albert, Basil “Jake” and Jimmie Campbell, two sisters, Beatrice Wallet and Mary Campbell.

Surviving are her children, Charles E. Susan Beatty and Linda Fisher all of Bellaire, a brother, Forrest “Mike” Campbell of Bellaire, three sisters, Jessie McMahon of Columbus, Katie Allison and Barbara Jim Russell all of Bellaire, three grandchildren, Jennifer Steve Colwell, Stephen Sunday Fisher and Georgeanne Stillion, 5 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio where services will be held at 1p.m. Saturday with Rev Joshua Jackson officiating.

Interment follows in Greenwood Cemetery Bellaire, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Medi Home Health and Hospice or the South Bellaire United Methodist Church.

Retta was a shining example of christian living. I’ve always thought she was a great lady. She left you a great legacy that you can be very proud of.

Retta will be missed by alot of people who knew her.
