Sobota, Anne Elizabeth Tybuszewski, 97, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Forest Hill Retirement Community.
She was born December 13, 1917 in Dilles Bottom, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Dudjnski Tybuszewski..
She was a former employee of the Hampton Inn, a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, Wheeling Senior Citizens Services and the former St. Joan of Arc Christian Mothers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Sobota, one daughter, Jo-Anne Roth, three brothers, John, Joseph and Felix Tybuszewski, two sisters, Stella Coitczyk and Jenny Lucas, a grandson, Michael Hall, two son-in-laws, Edward McGrath and Raymond Stone.
Surviving are her children, Mary McGrath Stone, Nancy L. Hall and Joe Susan Sobota all of Wheeling; a son-in-law, Allen Roth of Brookside, OH; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where Vigil services will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.
Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
