ANNA M. GACEK 94 of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday October 10, 2008 at the Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, Ohio.
She was born May 30, 1914 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late William and Ann Max Adamek.
Anna was a retired clerk in the candy department of the Stone and Thomas Department Store in Wheeling and the former Sunny Brook Farms. She was a member of the former First Reform Church of Bellaire, CSA Lodge, Forest Hills Community Center, West Bellaire Canasta Club and for many years she was active in the Democratic Party.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Gacek, Sr. on August 24, 1994, three brothers, Fritz, Edward and William Adamek and one sister, Bessie Robinson.
Surviving are three children, Joseph C. Jean Gacek, Jr. of New Martinsville, WV, Rosalie Richard Hutter of Wilmington, NC and and Gary E. Gacek of Barnesville, OH, one sister, Mary Burkhardt of Vero Beach, FL, ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Gacek, Joseph Donna Gacek, Melissa Burkhammer, Mark Hutter, Gretchen Ken Kaufman, Cathleen Michael Rawn, Troy Kim Gacek, Tim Kristi Gacek, Chris Erin Gacek and Tiffany Gacek and eighteen great grandchildren.
Also several nieces and nephews, including a devoted nephew, Fred Adamek.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Saturday from 3 to 6 pm where services will be held on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Bill Marinelli officiating. Interment in the Holly Memorial Gardens at Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
