Anna Marie Brown-Vucelich 91, of Shadyside, Ohio died Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Shadyside Care Center. She was born September 25, 1923, a daughter of the late Marion K. and Mary O. Keyser Brown. Anna worked for the Village of Shadyside as a secretary in the Mayor’s office and served as a council woman. She was a member of the Eastern Star and 4 Leaf Clover Class and was a member of the Lincoln Ave. United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vucelich, a brother, Arthur Brown, a sister, Mary Catherine Marling and her beloved pet Tipper. Anna is survived by her children Jan Larry Brubaker of Powhatan Point, OH, Beth Andes of Wheeling, WV, and Joe Liz Vucelich of Boise, ID; three grand children, Melissa Ryan Grover of Powhatan Point, OH, Melanie Matt Reiman of Powhatan Point, OH and Danika Vucelich of Boise, ID as well as three great grand children, Mattie and Wyatt Reiman and Garrett Grover, several nieces and nephews and special family friend Diane Thompson. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3900 Central Ave, Shadyside Ohio 43947. A service will be conducted by the Eastern Star at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at 11 am with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Clairsville, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lincoln Ave. United Methodist Church in Shadyside, OH. Jan & Family…I’m so sorry to hear of your precious Mom passing away. I have fond memories of her from our Brownies and Girl Scout days and know what a wonderful Mom and person she was. So sorry about Anna Marie’s passing. During my early years in public service, the widsom and common sense she offered me made holding public office much easier. She was a kind and wonderful person. She’ll be missed.
