ELIAS, Ann A., 86, of Wheeling, WV, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
Born in Parkersburg WV on March 19, 1920, Ann was the daughter of the late George and Mary George Elias. She was a retired employee of Ohio Valley Medical Center where she worked in their gift shop for more than 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Bessie and William Martin, and her sister in law, Mary Elias.
Surviving are two brothers, Louis and Joseph Elias both of Wheeling; two sisters, Josephine Weidman and her husband Alvin of Warwood and Madeline Genovese of Connecticut. Ann is also survived by 125 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St. Wheeling WV on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling WV with Fr. Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. We are very saddened at your loss and hope that all the strength can be granted to your family at this time of struggle. We had both met A.Annie and she was a very sweet woman from what little we knew of her. Mary jo, we love you and please know you can call on us anytime for support and a shoulder.
