Angelo P. ”Cy” Cianni
Age 65
Angelo P. ”Cy” Cianni, 65 of Commerce Street, Wellsville, died Tuesday, June 26, 1001 at East Liverpool City Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Wellsville, OH on May 21, 1936, a son of the late John A. and Mary I. Fusco Cianni.
Mr. Cianni lived his entire life in Wellsville working 23 years in the hot strip at the former Crucible Steel in Midland, PA, then working for Allied Security as a security office from 1984 until March of 2001. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville and was a veteran on the United States Air Force serving from 1955 to 1959. For his enjoyment, Mr. Cianni enjoyed spending time at Mountaineer Race Track.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Moore Cianni, whom he married on June 27, 1962; two sons John A. Cianni and his wife Vicki of Ft Hood, Texas and Douglas Cianni of East Liverpool, OH; one daughter, Deanna Ketchum and her husband, Shawn of Wellsville, OH; one brother, Frank Cianni of Calcutta, OH; four sisters, Lena Burrows and her husband Charles of Warren, OH, Rosemarie Gregory and her husband, James of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Francis Winland anf her husband, Sidney of Wellsville, OH and Anna Marie Woyan and her husband, James of Wellsville, OH; ten grandchildren, Christopher Cianni and Bradley Cianni, both of Wellsville, OH, William Cianni and Anthony Cianni, both of Ft. Hood, TX, Ravenna Cianni of East Liverpool, OH, Kristany Ketchum, Timothy Ketchum, Shawn Ketchum Jr., Stephanie Ketchum and Sarah Ketchum, all of Wellsville, OH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville, OH on Friday, June 29, 2001 at 10:00 Am with Rev. Father Bernard Gaeta of the church as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville, OH where the Tri state Burial Group will accord full military honors.
The family will be present at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin-Amclean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, June 28, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
