Angela V. Hackenberg Moore, 87, of Wheeling, died Saturday at Wheeling Hospital.
Born in Wheeling on April 14, 1916, Angela was the daughter of Frank and Katherine Baumann Hackenberg.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Island Senior Citizens, Christian Mothers at St. Michaels, Catholic Daughters of America, Church Women United, AARP and a graduate of St. Josephs Academy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard, Francis and George Hackenberg and two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Joshua Moore.
Surviving are her former husband, Louis K. Moore of Wheeling; four daughters, Angela A. Moore of Wheeling, Linda Richards and her husband Ronald of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Christine Moore and her husband Paul of Wheeling and Janice Moore of Wheeling; two sons, James F. Moore and his wife Myrtle of Wheeling and Dennis Moore and his wife Theresa of Wheeling. One brother, Leonard Hackenberg of Princeton, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling. Vigil services Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church Development Fund.

Sorry to hear of Aunt Angela’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. One fond menorie I have is how we would visit at your house at Christmas and there would be about 8 or 9 of us kids playing games and eating the goodies we only got at that time of year. Your Mother was always nice to us.
