Amidst national anxiety and uncertainty, I find this news extremely difficult to bear. My heart is very heavy, but I will always remember the laughing, smiling, joking “Buddy” on the soccer pitch. My sincerest condolences to your family.

During times of grief, sometimes the only comfort is a good memory. I knew Buddy many years ago through my brother Britt. He was a very genuine person, and I will always remember him for his patience. He taught me how to drive his “stick shift” Honda when I was fifteen years old 15 years ago!. I almost wrecked about a hundred times, but Buddy never once lost his “cool.” He would just tell me, “Don’t worry, you’ll get it.” Needless to say, he was shifting the gears and telling me when to push in the clutch. But that didn’t matter – I was doing a GREAT job anyway!

I am very sad that Buddy is gone. This world was a much better place with him in it. His memory will always bring me a smile. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

With Much Sympathy,

I didn’t know Buddy extremely well, just from playing soccer with and against him. Whether it was Saturday afternoon pick-up or Southside end of season tournament, Buddy was always smiling. I guess that’s what really made him stand out. My prayers are with the family and close friends of Andy Bacs, Jr. during this time of loss.

Buddy, you will be missed.

I only knew Buddy from soccer, he was a true joy to be around every week at the soccer pitch.

I know he will be sorely missed by those whose lives were touched by him and the community will miss the opportunities a person of his caliber would continue to bring to all of our lives.

I served with Andy in the Army. We went to basic training together as well as serving in the same platoon in the 25th.

Andy was the greatest guy there was.No matter what,he always had your back. He was truly an original in every way.

I would have loved to see him again, and I am truly sorry that we lost contact.

There are many other guys from our unit who miss him as well.on facebook we have a group Deeds Not Words. Bravo Company 3/22 1989-1992 if you ever wish to drop a post.

Andy will be truly missed by all of us.

I will always remember Buddy as a spunky, energetic, and funny kid. You all were such good friends to me and my family when we lived in Willow Wood. I remember one particular time that Buddy heard the song Desperado by the Eagles and he cried. He was sensitive too. I will really miss him and you will be in my prayers. Buddy is with God now and with Nudge Mama and Grandma in heaven. I love you all and wish you God’s peace.
