ALTA “SIS” WEST, 78, of Powhatan Point, OH, died Monday, November 3, 2008 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1930 in Belmont County, OH, a daughter of the late Thurman and Ila Neff Holiday.
Alta was a homemaker and a Nazarene by faith.
In addition to her parents, Alta was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Shelby Rose Seita and 3 brothers.
Surviving are 6 children; Darlene David Elerick, Joyce WayneRavencraft, MadelynEddieBrooks, KandiGeorgeHeightland, Donnie West all of Powhatan Point and DonnaChuckHuber of Burton, SC, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her pets; Lou-E and Seymore.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of services at 12:00noon at the Powhatan Cemetery Chapel with Lorna Knight officiating.
Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
Arrangements by the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main St., Powhatan Point.
