LEAVITT, Ava June Stapleton, 64, of Jacob Street, Wheeling, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at her home.
Ava was born June 17, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Warren Stapleton, Sr. and Mary Strzelczyk Stapleton. She was a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Bridgeport, Ohio and the Wheeling Island Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, Ava was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Stapleton.
Surviving are her spouse, Raymond Leavitt; a son Charles “Chuck” Leavitt and his wife, Denise of Lumberton, N.C.; two daughters, Dawn Lang and her husband, Jim and Lora Vaughn and her husband, James, all of Wheeling; ten grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers and four sisters.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2 pm, Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Bridgeport, with the Rev. David Demarest officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Valley Hospice, 132 Peters Run Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
