Allen E. Miller, Jr., of Wheeling, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at home.
He was a graduate of Wheeling Central High School; a third generation owner/operator of Miller Barbershop, Elm Grove; retired Chief Warrant Officer from the United States Army Reserves, with more than 25 years of service; and a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Wheeling.
He was born August 18, 1942, in Wheeling, son of Catherine Miller Loria and the late Allen E. Miller Sr. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Loria.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Carolyn L. Zeik Miller; a brother, Charles Miller and his wife, Sara, of Valley Grove; three nephews, Ty Miller of Warwood, Chad Miller and his wife, Martha, of Elm Grove and Charles M. Miller of Valley Grove; and a great-niece, Madelyn Miller of Elm Grove.
Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling. Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Elm Grove, Wheeling, with the Rev. H. Joseph Wilhelm, S.M. as celebrant. Entombment in Mount Calvary Mausoleum, Wheeling.

Miller Barbershop will be closed Monday in consideration of Mr. Miller and his family.
