Rev. Albert Thomas Hampson
Age 79

Rev. Albert Thomas Hampson, age 79, formerly of Jennings Avenue in East Liverpool went to be with his Lord on Friday, June 27, 2003, after a lengthy illness.

Rev. Hampson was born in Burgettstown, Pa. on March 20, 1924, the son of the late James and Alice Miller Hampson he had lived most of his life in this area.

He was employed as a Mold Maker at the Syracuse Pottery, retiring in 1986. He also served one term as a Labor Union President for the Glass, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers. Rev. Hampson was also the Founder and Pastor at the Bethel Tabernacle in Lisbon for 33 Years. He was a Veteran serving with the U.S. Army during W.W. II. And received special recognition from the French government for his efforts at Normandy during the war.

Rev. Hampson is survived by his wife, Beulah Louise Brooks Hampson who he married on June 25, 1946. One son, Rev. Keith T. Hampson and his wife, Kelly, of Maynardville.Tenn. A daughter, Patricia Hampson-Linger and her husband, Rev. Joseph Linger of Washingtonville, Ohio. Two grandchildren, Keith Owen Hampson and Rachel Elizabeth Hampson both of Maynardville, Tenn. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents, seven brothers, Bill, Sam, Jim, George, Joe, Harry, and John Hampson and two sisters, Francis Wollam, and Ethyl Pinkerton preceded Rev. Hampson in death.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on, Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bob Davisson of the Church of God House of Prayer, Officiating.

Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery where the Tri-State Burial Group will conduct Military Honors.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

There is no doubt where Mr. Hampson is now. May God bless all of you and keep you close to his heart at this time. Mr. Hampson always had a gift of making you feel like a better person just being with him. I am blessed knowing him
