Albert J. Solomone

Solomone, Albert J., 89, of Benwood, WV, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Mound View Health Care Center.
He was born September 26, 1923 in Benwood, a son of the late Rocco and Louise DiGiacoma.
He was a former employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of St. John Catholic Church, Benwood, and an Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Jeanette Porterfield, Helen Evanich, Virginia Peacemaker and Gilda Flading.
Surviving are two sisters, Edith Thomas of Lasing, OH and Mary Jane DeCocco of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date.
Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. John Catholic Church, Benwood.
