Albert H. Mingroni, 91, of Bellaire, OH, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 25, 1917, in Bellaire, a son of the late Casperino and Rose Vitale Mingroni.

Albert was a retired employee with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel-Benwood Plant, was a member of the IAC Club, former member of the Sons of Italy, a member of St. John Catholic Church, the VFW Bellaire and was an Army veteran of WWII, serving with Merrill’s Marauders.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Mingroni.

Surviving is his wife Martha Jenkins Mingroni, 2 sons; Walter Mingroni and his fiancee Dianne Rhodes of Bellaire, Michael Mingroni and his wife Michele of Richmond, VA, 2 sisters; Elizabeth “Betty” Allison and her husband Jesse of Salem, OH, Rosemary Maxcey of Salem, OH and 4 grandchildren; Kayla, Jiana, Savannah and Michaelina.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 1, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441-37th St., Bellaire.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00am in St. John Catholic Church with Msgr. Gene Mullett as celebrant.

Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH.

A vigil service will be conducted on Monday at 2:30pm in the funeral home.

The Belmont County Council of the VFW will conduct services at 7:00pm Monday in the funeral home

We are so sorry to hear about Albert’s passing! May God Bless You All during this difficult time!

We are so sorry that we are unable to make the visitation’s, but Haleigh starts back to school tomorrow and we will be unable to travel until the weekend!
