Albert Abbie Goff Flowers, 82, of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday December 16, 2011.

He was born May 18, 1929 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Goff and Edith Mae Littleton Flowers.

He was a member of the St John Catholic Church, Bellaire, Ohio; he was the former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, St. John’s Boosters, American Legion Post # 52, and the DAV. He was a ten year U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother; Richard Flowers and two sisters; Marie Dougherty and Evelyn Rejonis.

He is survived by his wife Mary Sally Connors Flowers, and five children; Susan Skip Earley, Steve Paula Flowers, Michael Cheri Flowers, Mary Jo Jim Wallace, and John Flowers, two brothers; Clyde and Pete Flowers, his sister; Emma Lou Gibbs, 17 grandchildren; Holly King, Andrew Flowers, Heidi McGrew, Ben Caitlin Flowers, Ryan Sally Gonglik, Keri Aaron Hall, Joshua Melissa Gonglik, Ben Gonglik, Jessica Flowers, Brittney Frank Hibbitts, Nancy Flowers, Bethany Wallace-Vargas, Shaye Campbell, Jay Wallace, Tanner Wallace, Courtney Wallace and Justin Williams, 12 great grandchildren; Sara, Savannah and Chance King, Austin and Paige Flowers, Joshua and Riley McGrew, Zayden Johnson, Kole Gonglik, Gavin Hibbitts, Allison Vargas and Aidan Campbell.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday December 19, 2011 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory 441 37th St., Bellaire, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday December 20 at 10am in St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, Ohio.

A VFW service will be held Monday at 3:00pm in the funeral home.

A Vigil service will be held at 4:00pm in the funeral home.

A K of C service will be held at 7:00pm in the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
