Bristel, Albert E. Jr., 86, of Wheeling, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005.
Born in Boggs Run, Marshall County on February 24, 1918, Albert was the son of the late Albert E. Sr. and Theresa Bristel. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Labelle Works. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in Company F, 276th Infantry, 70th Division.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brother Henry Charles Bristel and sister Elsie Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Opal S. Bristel; one son, Henry Harold Bristel and his wife Marilyn of Tiltonsville, OH; two granddaughters, Tammy Capalingo and her husband Timothy of Tiltonsville, OH, Tracy Johnson and her husband Jeffrey of Bridgeport, OH; one great granddaughter, Shylee Capalingo of Tiltonsville, OH; two nephews, Ray Thomas Hubbard and his wife Delores of Marietta, OH, Donald Van Camp and his wife Linda of Elm Terrace, W.Va. and his special neighbors.
Friends and family will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 from 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. with vigil service at 7:30 pm.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Wheeling. Entombment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
