Alanna was a great friend to my daughter, Laura Glascock. We just heard of her passing. I send my prayers to her family. Alanna was a terrific kid – always fun and laughter. She lit up her surroundings so beautifully. Know that she was loved by so many of her friends and their parents!.

Dear Mary-Margaret, Fitzgerald, Breanne and Janelle:

Throughout the years we have seen all your children grow and develop into nice, kind and friendly young adolescents and adults. We had recently spoken to Alanna and she was enthusiastically describing her jobs, activities, and busy routine to my husband. Although we cannot even begin to conceive the pain of your loss we wish to convey our sincere condolences. We have thought about your family during the past few days and have offered our prayers in Alanna’s memory. Your loss has been felt by the whole community. May you be sustained by your family, friends and faith.

First and foremost, I am so sorry for your loss. We will all miss her dearly.

Alanna was a very dear friend to my sister, Brooke. Brooke and I lived together for a few years giving me the privilege of knowing Alanna. Alanna was always there for my sister through the rough times; willing to do anything to help. She and I hung out quite a few times…she was so much fun to be around.

Alanna was a remarkable girl with a huge heart and a kind spirit. She touched everyone she knew.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter, Alanna.

I work at First Colonial High School and remember her as a thoughtful and caring young lady. It is so sad that she left us at such a very young age.

May God bless and keep each of you in His care.

I know that you dont know me, but I knew Alana. We had been friends for the past three years. I’m not going to try and pretend that I know exactly what your going through becouse I dont. And I honestly cant even say that me and Alana were as close as she was to alot of other people, but I considered her a friend and in fact cared alot about her. She was a cool chick. Fun to hang out with and had a very genuine heart. I will miss her smile. As much as it grieves all of our hearts to lose such a beautiful spirit we must come to realize that shes in a better place waiting on us. In the presence of Jesus! That must be awesome! One day you will see her again. Her soul will always live on in our deepest memories. God bless you all. You will be in my prayers…and I’m not just saying that I will continue to pray for you.

I meet Alanna three years ago at Crocs we worked together I was a D.J. and she was the hostess. We worked in the front part of the restaurant together so we would see each other on the weekends talking and laughing about girl stuff. She had the most bueatiful smile. She was very hip on the lastest styles and what was hot in the music scene. We both moved on from croc’s, and when I would see her out working or vice versa we would catch up on the lastest in our lives. She was moving ahead in her school and I was going back to school. We always had something in common eventhough I am 7 years older then she. I will miss Alanna deeply, she was a wonderful girl, who was turning into a lovely lady. thank you for letting me share with you and god bless your family.

I met Alana through soccer. We were both goalies on the same team. I am so deeply blessed that I had the chance to have our lives cross paths. Everything happens for a reason. I believe the reason our paths crossed was to show me how beautiful one person can be and how much spirit and joy they can give off and have just that one moment in life affect the rest of yours. She was a beautiful person more than words could ever begin to describe and she will be missed very much by millions of people. You affect everyone in your life..even strangers you say hi to in the grocery store and that was her character. We always caught up with each other when we would run into one another. She would never let herself pass by without saying hello. That would have been out of her character! I love and miss her and will pray for your family through the rough times..but she is in a better place out shining probably every angel up there with her beauty and smile!!

I met Alanna my senior year in high school while she was still a junior. Although I did not keep in touch with her after I went away to college I remember her fondly. She was one of those people who just lit up a room and made you smile no matter what. From the time I met her she was a wonderful friend someone you could just hang out with and have fun. A short while after I met her her parents had gone out of town and she was house sitting and Diesel had to go to the vet so we put him in my Jeep and took him. I remember how much she loved and cared for him. I wish I had known that she was in Richmond going to shool for a while so I could have spent more time with her because that is where I went to school. Athough our paths did not cross since I left Virginia Beach she is someone I will always remeber. I am extremely sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my prayers. Although Alanna is gone her memories will remain and her joyousness will stay with me always.

Mary, Fitz, and girls,

We cannot imagine the grief that has come into your lives—no one should bury a child—

We have known your family a long time, seen the girls grow up and become young women.

Our hearts are sad for your family, nothing will ever again be the same.

You must hold deep in your hearts the love, laughter and the memories and the smiles of Alanna. She will be with you every day.

We honor her with our prayers for everlasting peace for her soul.

To the Family of Alanna Scott- We only met Alanna a few short weeks ago at Pembroke Chiropractic. She was always polite and courteous, a bubbly girl who was always smiling. It was a shock for us to learn today that she had passed on. She will be missed by all who knew her. May her memories comfort you and know that she has gone to a better place.

With sincere sympathy, Marilyn and Spike Seligson
