Alan,
Sending sincere condolences to you and your family in the loss of your father.
Dad just sent me the news. My love to you all at your time of grieving. I will celebrate having known Sammy. I can picture his HS graduation picture and a newspaper clipping of him in the barbershop quartet that I still possess in my keepsakes. He was my first love even though he was my senior by 11 years. I have such wonderful little girl memories of him and his sisters. May God bless you Reba, Megan, Alan and Gwenn.
Dear Reba and family,
I am so sad to hear about Sam. Your continued affection toward my family which began when Sam’s parents were neighbors of my parents has always been a comfort. Talk about Sam every day and you will keep him forever with you.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Reba and Family,
I just received some of the most shocking news of my life from my cousin in Ohio. One of my best friends, Sam Banker had passed away. I met Sam in September of 1945, so we were quite young. Our families drug us off to Arizona and I am still in Arizona. Sam was only four years my senior, but that never seemed to matter to either of us. The last time that I saw Sam was almost 4 years ago in his office in St. Clarisville. What a renunion that was, talking over old times together. Thank God I was able to thank him for teaching me how to play baseball which got me a few meals during my freshman year in college. I, as well as others will never forget him or his wonderful family.
May God bless all of you during these most difficult times.
Dear Reba,Gator,Paula,Megan and Family,
“A PRINCE OF A MAN”, ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR YOU. SO VERY SORRY.
LOVE,
RICH, SAMRA & FAMILY
JOE, KIM, & SAM
I am so sorry, we will miss Uncle Sam so much, love, Beth
I am sorry for your loss,Megan and family,my thoughts and prayers are with you.God bless you Joe&family
I met Sam about 4-5 years ago on his annual Canadian fishing trip. I sincerely liked Sam and loved fishing with him. He was a great guy and made me feel welcome to the fishing group. I was very disappointed that he missed our Canada fishing trip this year as I looked forward to seeing him every summer and hearing his stories of past trips. I know that our future fishing trips will not be the same without Sam and that saddens me.
My sincere condolences to Reba and the Banker family.
I’m so sorry to learn of Alan’s passing. He was my attorney and friend and I always enjoyed my visits to his office; as we got business taken care of and then just had good conversation.
Meagan and Family,
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
Megan,
Allow me to express my deepest condolences regarding the loss of your father. I understand the loss of a parent and my heart goes out to you. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
~Becky
Megan,
Sorry to hear about your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Megan,
There are no words for me or others to say to make the hurt go away or stop the tears from flowing, just let them flow.
Reba & Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Alan passing away. You two were one of my favorite customers at the bank. I would enjoy talking to Alan about what games we were going to see that week and other things. He always had time to say hello to everyone. Bellaire and The Ohio Valley has lost another great person. Please accept my sympathy to you and your family.
Renata
Reba,
I am so sorry for your loss. He was a life-long friend of my fathers and a very sweet man. Your loss is felt by all who knew him.
Reba, Megan and family,
I am so sorry about Alan’s passing. He was so stoic in his fight that I actually thought he was going to rally back. Alan was such a wonderful father, grandfather and lawyer – Belmont County just won’t be the same. I can just imagine the next county bar meeting in Heaven – Alan, Emilio, Jeanne, Rodney, etc. It ought to be a hoot!
Please know that your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Reba, Megan and family,
Our deepest sympathy on the lost of your husband, father and grandfather. You will be kept in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincere condolences to Reba, Megan and Alan on the passing of your husband and father. Alan was always a professional and gracious attorney and member of our Bar Association. Always a pleasure to chat with, whether on legal matters or just the state of things, he was a member of that vanishing breed known as the “General Practitioner”. He will be sorely missed by our Bar Association as a member, and as our friend.
To the family of Alan Banker; our sincere condolences. Alan was a great guy and we will miss him greatly. May God wrap his loving arms around you all and grant you peace and understanding. I have enclosed a poem that reminds me of Alan.
DEATH IS ONLY A PART OF LIFE
We enter this world from the “great unknown”,
And God gives each spirit a form of its own;
He endows this form with a heart and a soul-
To spur man on to his ultimate goal;
For all men are born to return as they came,
And birth and death are in essence the same;
And Man is but born to die and arise,
Far, far beyond this world great beauty there lies;
The purpose of death is but to gain,
Life everlasting in God’s great domain;
And NO ONE need to make this journey alone,
For God has promised to walk with his own.
